Keynote Speakers
Mr. Didier HoussinDirector of Sustainable Energy Policy and Technology at Mr Houssin has previously served for five years as Director of Energy Markets and Security and head of the directorate’s predecessor, the Office of Oil Markets and Emergency Preparedness. Between 1997 and 2004 he was the Director of Energy and Mineral Resources in the French Ministry of Economy. Mr Houssin will be speaking about unconventional oil and gas in the global energy market. |
Mr. Juhan PartsMinister of Economic Affairs and Communications, Republic of Estonia Mr Parts has previously served as the Prime Minister of Estonia, as well as other state positions such as Member of Parliament, Deputy Chancellor of the Ministry of Justice, etc. Minister Parts will be addressing the significance of oil shale in Estonia´s energy indepence and its national development strategies. | ||||||
Dr.-Ing. Leonhard BirnbaumVice Chair Europe, World Energy Council Leonhard Birnbaum, Member of the Executive Board, E.ON SE, Germany, as of 1st July 2013. He was a Member of the Executive Board of RWE AG from 2008 to March 2013. Prior to that Dr. Birnbaum worked for McKinsey & Company from 1996 to 2008, mainly in the energy sector within Germany and abroad. Mr. Birnbaum will be speaking about Global and European Energy Perspectives. |
